How long does it take to fully charge the Fuber G1.5 electric outboard motor? What are the respective durations for fast charging and slow charging?
In the field of electric marine power equipment, the Fuber G1.5 (Global1.5) 1.5kW electric outboard motor features outstanding portability, eco-friendliness and low noise, making it the preferred power solution for small fishing boats, lure boats and inflatable boats. For users, charging duration directly affects travel plans. This article elaborates on the fast charging and slow charging time and relevant details of this model.

1. Core Battery Configuration
The Fuber G1.5 is equipped with a standard 48V lithium battery system, available in two capacity versions: 1200Wh (25Ah) and 2000Wh (41.7Ah). Both adopt Samsung cylindrical cells and are equipped with a BMS battery management system to ensure safety and charging & discharging efficiency. Charging time varies greatly with different battery capacities. The following are official standard charging parameters.
2. Slow Charging Time (Household 220V Standard Charger)
Slow charging is compatible with household 220V/10A ordinary sockets and matched with a standard 48V/5A slow charger. It is the mainstream daily energy replenishment method with low battery loss, ideal for charging overnight or during long-term berthing.
1200Wh (25Ah) battery: Fully charged in 3.5-4 hours (charged from 20% to 100%);
2000Wh (41.7Ah) battery: Fully charged in 6-7 hours (charged from 20% to 100%).
Advantages of slow charging: No special charging pile required, available both on shore and at home; stable charging current effectively extends the cycle life of lithium batteries (up to 800-1500 cycles).
3. Fast Charging Time (Dedicated Fast Charger)
Fast charging supports 48V dedicated charging piles / original factory fast chargers (48V/15A), suitable for emergency power supplement and frequent short-distance navigation scenarios. The charging efficiency is increased by 3 times. However, frequent full-charge fast charging is not recommended to reduce battery heat loss.
1200Wh (25Ah) battery: Fully charged in 1.2-1.5 hours (charged from 20% to 100%), reaching 60% power in 30 minutes;
2000Wh (41.7Ah) battery: Fully charged in 2-2.5 hours (charged from 20% to 100%), reaching 50% power in 30 minutes.
4. Charging Precautions (Key to Extending Battery Life)
Power Range: It is recommended to charge when the remaining power is 20%-30%. Avoid deep discharge (below 10%) to slow down battery attenuation;
Temperature Adaptation: The charging ambient temperature should be kept between 0-40℃. Low temperature (below 0℃) will reduce charging efficiency, while high temperature (above 45℃) will easily trigger BMS overheating protection;
Original Accessories: Always use Fuber original chargers. Mismatched specifications (such as 60V chargers) will damage the BMS system and cause potential safety hazards;
Power Off After Full Charge: Cut off the power in time after the battery is fully charged. Avoid prolonged overcharging to prevent battery bulging and service life reduction.
5. Scenario-based Charging Suggestions
Daily leisure fishing (1-2 hours navigation): Choose the 1200Wh battery, fully charge via slow charging for 4 hours overnight for full power the next day;
Short-distance operation / frequent navigation: Choose the 2000Wh battery, fully charge via fast charging within 2.5 hours, and 30-minute emergency charging meets the demand for a single voyage;
No dedicated power supply: Adopt slow charging all the time with a portable charging cable, compatible with ordinary shore sockets for flexible energy replenishment.
Featuring both high efficiency and battery protection, the fast and slow charging design of the Fuber G1.5 electric outboard motor allows users to make flexible choices according to navigation frequency and charging conditions. As a benchmark model of 48V portable electric outboard motor, it boasts competitive charging time among similar products. Equipped with a detachable battery design, it thoroughly solves the pain points of outdoor energy replenishment.
